Science of Being

Mental health as ecology

We are researching the neurophysiology of presence to create technologies that restore a sense of reality and social unity to humans.

We go beyond classical psychology. For us, mental health is not about fighting symptoms, but about restoring fundamental contact with reality. It is a biological skill of orientation in the world, which we restore through working with light, rhythm, and space.

Mental health is not the absence of stress, but the ability to turn it into a resource for connecting with others

Mental health as an ecological orientation

The Problem

Anxiety and burnout are not personality flaws; they are the consequences of losing one’s rhythm and proper light exposure. Most modern issues—burnout, anxiety, depression—are not a “broken personality,” but rather a result of the severance between the body and its environment.

Our Approach

We operate at a pre-cognitive level. Before a person can “think correctly,” their brain must “orient correctly.” We believe that modern anxiety and burnout are not “character defects,” but the result of a sensory disconnect between the body and its surroundings.

Peripersonal Space

We facilitate a neural shift from "threat defense mode" to "social navigation mode," reshaping how the brain perceives the immediate environment.

Light as a Regulator

Light is more than just vision; it is the primary biological signal that synchronizes our circadian rhythms and hormonal balance.

Allocentric Navigation

Reorienting the brain from an Ego-centric (threat detection) focus to an Allo-centric (social cooperation) perspective.

Anti-reductionism.
We view the human being as an integrated system:
Body – Light – Action – Social Structure

The art of enduring uncertainty.

Mental health is the ability to cope with social expectations and life’s uncertainties without succumbing to stress. We create conditions in which the psyche does not need to expend resources on “survival” and the nervous system can thrive without constantly compensating for chaos.

Our research group has developed a step-by-step protocol for human adjustment to the environment

Research areas

Light stabilization

Creating a predictable visual environment to reduce baseline anxiety.

Architecture of silence

Practicing shared silence as the highest point of trust and mental stability.

Restoring verticality

Using micro-movements and the sense of gravity to create physical support for mental stability.

Mental health is the ability to be in touch with reality before we start interpreting it
